in accordance with PSA CAS we can help local and foreign manufacturers prove product conformity in equivalence standards .
The chemical industry transforms raw materials into a large variety of chemical products in order to meet the requirements of other industries and as well as direct consumers.
The aim of these transformation processes is to obtain high quality products whilst causing the least amount of damage to the environment. Standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are the benchmark for chemical industry management systems.
As the industry involves a broad spectrum of products (fuels, detergents, cosmetics, medications, etc.), there is a need to develop specific certification schemes for each type of industry.
A special mention should be given to the cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors, both in constant evolution, where products are facing global consumer demand, with worldwide competitiveness that creates a need to meet increasingly strict international quality requirements.
PSA helps chemical manufacturers and distributors cope with this trend by offering the essential solution – the PSA CAS – Chemical Certification Scheme.
Based on the environmental protection requirement for consumer products in international markets, the chemicals used during the manufacturing process of consumer products are tested or certified to detect any restricted hazardous substances.
PSA can evaluate the following items:
Allergenic Disperse Dyes
APs and APEOs (which include NP, NPEO, OP and OPEO)
Forbidden Flame Retardants
Chlorinated Benzenes and Toluenes
Azo dyes
Extractable Heavy Metals
Soluble Heavy Metals
Formaldehyde
Heavy Metal Total Amount
Organic Tin Compounds(TBT/DBT/MBT/TPhT)
Pentachlorophenol and its Salts and Esters
Phthalates
Polychlorinated Biphenyls(PCBs)
PFOS
Short Chain Chlorinated Paraffins PAHs
Chemical suppliers can apply for the PSA Chemical Certification Scheme of one or more evaluation items listed. The process includes sample testing and evaluation. Chemicals which successfully pass the evaluation will be issued a test report and a certificate that is valid for one year.
